My annual post on what I want to knit. Admittedly, I’ve lost my knitting mojo a bit since my father’s death. I want to cocoon inward and my energy is low. Added bonus is that they found arthritis in my left hand so I am knitting shorter intervals lately. So, this What I Want to Knit list is brief, but filled with special carefully chosen projects-to-be. You can look at my previous I Want To Knit lists.
I am not including my own designs in this list even though I really love them and want to have different colors. But this post is about shining the spotlight on fellow designers. You can see all my patterns in this other post.
Note: All photos are from the designer’s site and I claim no rights to them. They’re only used to promote the design and link through to the designer’s non-Ravelry sales portal.
Links and Accessibility
Unlike all previous ‘I Want to Knit’ posts linked to Ravelry, but this post has no Ravelry links. I made every attempt to link to each designer’s online shop, but in some cases it may be a LoveCrafts link. Additionally, I have imported my designs to LoveCrafts. I’ve included photos of some patterns I’ve linked to so you can get excited with me about what I’ll be knitting soon.
Tembo by Carol Feller
I’m planning to knit it with Knit Picks Comfy Worsted (Hawk) already in my yarn larder.
Lausavisa Jumper
This is destined to be knit with multiple strands of fingering weight yarn held together for a marled and vibrant result. It will then be a treasured result of all those special single skeins I’ve been saving for that perfect project.
Pink Onyx
Mood Cardigan by Jeanette Sloan
This will be made with yarn from my yarn larder in a shifting marled color combination. Likely leaning towards blues and greens.
Nativeknit by Carmen Garcia de Mora
I have the perfect skeins for this from Eve Chambers Textiles.
Marginalia by Karie Westermann
To be knit with yarn from my yarn larder. I’m not sure which just yet, but definitely will use something I have because this is one of those special projects that the special skeins have been waiting for. This pattern was a gift from my friend Nora so I will think of her while I knit.
Exhale
To be knit with Spud & Chloë Sweater Worsted from my yarn larder
Dissent Cowl (knit) by Carissa Browning
This will be a cosy layer and a good reminder that change is worth fighting for.
Cielo Mitts
This has been on hold as I gather the right partial skeins to knit it.
Skelligs by Jennifer Shiels Toland
I have the perfect skein of Aran weight yarn for this project.
Knitted Nessie by Sue Stratford
I have the kit from EYF18.
