It has been one heck of a last nine months for me losing my dad, learning more about my mother’s health and helping her transition to a care residence, and clearing out my parents’ house. Really, I guess to be fair the last 21 months considering the pandemic and Optimus being sick. Wow. So many life changes, but I’m still here keeping on. Of course, focusing on the love that surrounds me is key and looking forward not back. Which is why I love to make a wish list of awesome items I need in my life. Like manifesting my dreams!
Usually, if we need something, we plan, research, save, and buy it. If we don’t really need it, we keep it in mind and see how the idea lands over time. Most of the time, we realise something isn’t necessary and we forget about it. Sometimes though there are things that are wanted, but not urgent so that’s where this list comes from. I don’t tend to expect people to provide me with what I want. I’m putting it here because it maybe you like the same things and this will give you ideas. Or maybe a loved one may love these for a holiday gift. But mostly, I’m making this list so I have the links handy because my 15th wedding anniversary is coming up very soon then my birthday and Christmas are in a few months.
Please note, the Amazon.co.uk links earn me a tiny affiliate amount if you make a purchase paid to me by Amazon, not your purchase. I do not use any other affiliate program and make about £10/year from this program. You know why I don’t make more? Because I’m telling you right now to use this list and shop locally, preferably in non-chain stores in your area. You will make a difference to your local economy.

A Bluetooth Record Player
I left my dad’s record player in the States because it didn’t make sense to move over electronics, so here are a few I’m eyeing to be able to play his extensive vinyl collection. I kept one of his old vintage radios too even though it is broken, but I’ll work on converting it to work with bluetooth.

Stand Mixer
Honestly, one of the hardest things about moving to a new country was leaving behind my things. My family things and my favorite everyday things, including the red KitchenAid stand mixer my parents gave us for our first wedding anniversary. Gratefully, that stand mixer is leading a happy life with my mother-in-law who is an amazing baker. I’ve been using alternative mixers for my 13 years in Ireland, most recently a lovely stand mixer that started making a very bad noise… when it works. So, a new mixer is in my future. I just cannot get over how much more expensive they are here than in the States. More than double or triple the price! So, I’m eyeing one of these from Curry’s.
Wall Art
I love art and in my childhood home and even our California apartment, we had so much art on the walls. Mostly things collected from our travels and adventures. Each piece had a memory. Our current place doesn’t allow for nails in walls which cuts down on art options significantly, but I dream of art on my walls. Here are few pieces on my wist list.
