I compiled a list of over 40 restaurants serving breakfast & brunch in Cork city. Seriously, it would take you six weeks to work your way through this list if you ate brunch in Cork every day of the week. Challenge accepted, right? This is a very long post, so warm up your scrolling finger and away we go!
You won’t find Starbucks, Wetherspoons, or Costa on this list. They’re nice enough, but this post and BrunchCork‘s entire purpose is focused on supporting local businesses and not multinational corporations. Dining local means more than just who owns the place. When dining out in Cork, seek out locally sourced ingredients. Skip the avocado and have the rocket or mushrooms. Look for mention of the food producer, farm, or source on the menu. Truly, if they’re cooking with local ingredients, they’ll want to tell you. Get the house-made berry or rhubarb compote, opt for West Cork fish, sausages, and black pudding, and by all means get the daily special because you know it was inspired by the fresh bounty back there in the kitchen.

Where is your favourite place to eat brunch in Cork City? Are you a weekday bruncher or is it special for the weekend? Oh, and I know we haven’t even discussed boozy and bottomless brunches! That’ll have to be its own post.
I only know a few of them, but Good Day Deli is one of my favourites. Not only the food is delicious but the surroundings are super nice.
