Looking at how this blog has grown is inspiring to me. It reminds me that sometimes small things grow big but still feel small. I like that. No glamour here, just the same me posting to you. There are just a few more of you, that’s all. So, let’s take a look at what the last 13 months have been like for EvinOK.net
January 2013, 529 visitors came to EvinOK.net but just one year later my blog welcomed 8,313 visitors in the month of January 2014. Amazing! Where did you all come from? Do I even know that many people? The big shift came in Autumn 2013 and I wish I knew what caused it. I suppose it could just be I started posting only on this blog instead of my other ones. The average visits per day went from 17 in January 2013 to a whopping 268 last month!
Of those who clicked through to other sites from my blog, almost 9,000 of those clicks in the past year were to Ravelry. So, it’s safe to say quite a few of you are knit-wits. Hehehe, see what I did there? Knit wits. Yeah, ok, not that clever. Anyway, nice to have company with my hobbies! And boy do you guys love free knitting pattern posts! An impressive 16,670 visited my post with a list of Free Knitting Patterns for Premature Babies. In fact, if you google free knitting patterns for premature babies, I’m in the top five!
This blog began in 2011, but my other blogs began in 2008 so it is exciting to relive the new-ness again that comes from new readers and getting to know what you like. Luckily, you like what I write! I feel fortunate that my creative outlet for sharing my crafty and culinary adventures and reflections happens to fulfill your interests as well. Yay!
Of course, I hope the numbers continue to grow as I work on my book project this year so you all can join me on this amazing adventure!
