Every year in March, I weed through my Ravelry queue and plan my next knitting projects while sharing the list with you here in a What I Want to Knit post. This is a tradition dating back to before this blog existed when I was posting about my knitting adventures on EvinOK’s predecessor, Spring Stitches. The March timing is because Spring is a nice time to declutter, plan, and be realistic about what I’ll get knit in time for NEXT winter. This week also happens to be the 11th anniversary of this blog, EvinOK!!! Over 800 posts later, still plugging away on content creation and not making any money.
This year, I am sharing EVERY SINGLE KNITTING PATTERN in my Ravelry queue. It is a very, very long list, but maybe it’ll inspire you or help you discover a designer you didn’t know about. My previous ‘I Want to Knit…’ posts were definitely more brief, so why not go big this year. Many of these are patterns I’ve already purchased with the yarn at the ready. I just have had less time to knit for pleasure the last few years. Who’d have thought being at home for the pandemic would give me LESS time to knit?! One word… Kids.
I’ve organised this massive list into categories by type of item, but the ones I have everything ready are first in their own section.
I loved looking at all of these! I’m glad I found your blog.
Thanks, Candice! What is next on your knitting needles?
I’m knitting Alina’s Chunky Socks from some yarn my daughter and son-in-law got for me at a local farm. They should be toasty warm on my feet after a bike ride in cold weather.
Sounds so cosy and warm. The ribbing in that pattern is so great for thick woolly yarns. Especially sweet that your daughter and son-in-law chose the yarn from a local farm.
Last night I gave my son-in-law a lesson on sock construction. I can’t tell you how happy I was to have someone show interest in my knitting.
Awwwwww
