Ukrainian Knitwear & Crochet Designers to Support

With Ukraine under attack, there are so many ways we wish we could help and so many more that limit us. But one thing we as crafters are very good at is showing support of fellow creators and designers.

I compiled this list of some Ukrainian Knitwear & Crochet Designers I found on Ravelry, but also link to searches which help you find exactly the pattern you want/need.

I know Ravelry is not accessible to everyone nor is it perfect, but the designers already have their payment methods set up and if it’s the simplest way to get money to many of them, I’ll go with it for now.

Now, on to a set of links to help you search for Ukrainian designers within Ravelry and also my list of designs which caught my eye.

Note: If you are unable to access Ravelry, but have an interest in a specific type of design (cable knit shrug using one color of Aran weight yarn in inclusive sizing), comment below and I will find options with non-Ravelry sources and send them to you. I have two kids and no spare time, but I suspect only one or two people will comment so it’s an offer I’m willing to make.

Update: Other Lists

This was scheduled to go live then [before the go live date] I saw a beautiful Tweet that is quite similar so I want to add the link here as an additional resource. I would say it was a coincidence that we both had this idea, but honestly it should not surprise anyone. This is what we do. I suspect there are others who shared lists, but this was the only instance I ran across.

Thanks so much for posting this link and doing so much research into finding Ukrainian designers Evin! I’ve added a number to my faves too, and will be going back to buy some patterns. I was a big disgusted to see yesterday a Russian designer being promoted as “generously giving away free patterns” on a Facebook group and people praising her! Of course she cannot sell them and yet she asks for contributions via “buy me a coffee” link. She was called out by a number of Polish designers and respondents.
