When My Creativity Book came out, I saw it posted on @FitziesFood Instagram and fell in love with the bright illustrations and brilliant concept. Naturally, being a bibliophile, I had to have a copy for Optimus (8), but then he insisted his baby brother Bumblebee (4) also have one.
My Creativity Book (€10 each) is available exclusively from Fitzpatrick’s Shop with all proceeds go to the Children’s Unit at Cork University Hospital. What a worthwhile cause!!! As you know, Optimus was very sick over Christmas until the end of January, which immersed us learning about children hospital options in Ireland. We are so grateful for the healthcare system and professionals who helped us through this and who help little kids every day.
Now, about this book. I won’t do spoiler alerts, because it is PACKED full of reflection activities and documenting for your little one. It’s like bullet journaling, but without all the set-up work! Optimus immediately started reading the book to Bumblebee and the Fitzies Five education about hand washing and germs is so timely.
I just love that this book project was a family affair. You know, as a publisher myself I love when people make creative work happen and bring it to the world without compromising one bit of what they envision. This book shines with nurturing, collaborative energy.
Created by Geraldine O’Neill and designed by her daughter Erin, the book was created over Skype! That’s SO 2020. And Geraldine’s sister Carmel Waterman at Carraig Print managed production.
If you have the chance, stop into Fitzpatrick’s Shop to pick up your copy and support this brilliant project and the Children’s Unit at Cork University Hospital.
