A well-crafted weekend with designer Eline Oftedal

Fresh off the plane from her U.S. book tour for Knit Nordic: 20 Contemporary Accessories Inspired by 4 Traditional Sweater Patterns: 20 Contemporary Projects Based on Traditional Patterns, Eline Oftedal was welcomed home with the promise of a new book and a cosy weekend to recover from jet lag with tea, pie, and knitting. This is where my book Bake Knit Sew came into her plan. Which is an honour since I love well-crafted weekends so helping to create one for Eline (or for you!) makes me happy.

You may know Eline from her fabulous Knit Nordic book, her recent book tour, or her other beautiful designs. I first fell for her designing skills when I saw her Lotus Bowl Hat. See, as a wedding gift, my parents received an original Lotus Bowl in green and it was the one we used for salads and popcorn and just about anything at the dinner table. So, seeing that hat pattern makes me happy and remember the food of my childhood. Especially my mom’s homemade salad dressing.

But enough about memories, let’s go over and see what Eline is cooking up from my book! This is just one of the lovely spots on my Bake Knit Sew blog tour so come along for discounts and giveaways, but be sure to bookmark the various participating blogs because these designers, authors, and chefs are talented enough to be in your everyday reading list…or to save for a cosy weekend read on your tablet.
