In 2009, I purchased my first [of several] knitting pattern books. I immediately set about determining which of the patterns I would knit first. And a short six years later, I’m just getting going on the project. The book seems to really grasp modern styles that are lasting as well as ways to enable the knitter to customize the patterns to be their very own. After all, it takes me six-freaking-years to get through the first 20 rows! So it has to be timeless yet modern.
The book is Custom Knits: Unleash Your Inner Designer with Top-Down and Improvisational Techniques by Wendy Bernard.
