Sewing a Wristlet for Knitting On-the-go

I love the idea of knitting on the go with a purpose-built bag that is gentle on my wrist, so I started researching designs and features I prefer. I happened upon this helpful tutorial on Nadel & Gabel (I think Julia and I should be friends – if you love my blog, you’ll love hers too). I adapted it slightly and winged it at some points in the project, but the result is fabulous! I made three in one sitting because I was on a roll. I gave one to my friend Bernie of Bear in Sheep’s Clothing.

Here are photos of the resulting bags and I’m cheering you on if you make your own.

Bernie’s is a tree print with orange contrast bias tape for fun.

I also learned it is a nice size to use when picking up Duplo and Lego from the floor while keeping hands free.
