Toothbrush a Go-Go

I am IN LOVE with the Flipper Animal World Toothbrush Holder. For small bathrooms, counter space is rare if available at all. Where do you put your toothbrush in a bathroom with no counter? Until recently, I had mine on a metal suction-cup rack on the tile just above my sink. It does not have a toothbrush-specific spot so it was not ideal, but better than nothing. Then I was befriended by an animal that will hold my toothbrush for me – all the time! Flipper makes several kinds of toothbrush holders that affix with suction cups to the bathroom mirror or some other smooth surface and flip open to reveal the toothbrush. As a bonus, it keeps it from being out in the open when using cleaners.

Not only has it become a fixture in my home bathroom, but it is just as helpful on the road (like now when we’re visiting the States). I had always wondered what to do with my toothbrush when traveling, but never found a happy solution until this. The happy animal will come on the road with me and stick to the bathroom mirror or tile. He can even come in my carry-on luggage. It keeps it out of the way for anyone cleaning the sink area too. It cleans easily with soap and water, though I occasionally run mine through the top rack of my dishwasher on a light cycle (remove the suction cups first!).

If only it would help with jet lag too…

The Flipper animals are available in a variety of creatures and styles from The Container Store (giraffe, dog, panda = $4.99 each), Flipper directly ($6.99 each), or from Amazon.com (elephant or panda = $6-8 each, free super saver shipping included). I got my nephew one that is a triceratops (his favorite dinosaur) from Kitsch Kitchen in Amsterdam.
