To celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day, what better thing than to share some delicious foods from the Republic itself. Today, I’m telling you how Clare showed up on my doorstep a few weeks ago with a fresh-baked loaf of homemade Irish soda bread! It was adorned with sultanas and a gentle sweetness.
The neutrality of white soda bread makes it ideal for just about anything. I prefer it as toast with Irish butter and jam but also alongside a steamy bowl of hearty soup or sandwiching roast turkey and berry sauce. Really, what isn’t Irish soda bread good with?!?
