Summer Dessert on the Grill – Peaches with Ricotta Cheese

You want light and simple, no heating up the house with the oven tonight? Here is a delightful dessert recipe for grilled peaches with ricotta cheese that will feel different, yet familiar. Familiar because I wrote something like this up eight years ago, but it was Grilled Peaches & Vanilla Ice Cream. This time, I’m going through my Italian cheese era (Burrata, Ricotta, Mascarpone) so had to reinvent it a bit.

In the summer, my parents left the grill set up and ready. Cast-iron skillet corn pudding, marinated vegetables, classic burgers and hot dogs, and more. They rarely grilled fruit though, so as an adult I am a bit smitten with the concept — and the result.

Ricotta with grilled peaches

Grilled Peaches with Ricotta Cheese

  • 4 ripe peaches
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Salt to taste
  • Honey for drizzling
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together until the sugar has dissolved. Brush the cut side of each peach with the mixture.
  4. Place the peaches cut side down on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they are slightly softened and have grill marks.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  6. Spoon the ricotta mixture over the grilled peaches and drizzle with honey.
  7. Serve the grilled peaches warm with a scoop of the ricotta mixture on top.

Enjoy your sweet and creamy grilled peaches with ricotta cheese! This dish is perfect for summer barbecues or as a sweet end to any meal.
