My friend Marseille knit the Knit Your Love by Martina Behm (links to designer’s website) in a stunning warm red. She used Tempted Hand Painted Good Grrl. This yarn is now discontinued, but you can check YarnSub for a suitable alternative for this beautiful project.
Though Ravelry isn’t the gold standard of projects anymore, it still gives excellent historical insight into pattern popularity. For Knit Your Love, there are 729 projects and it found its way into 591 queues. Released in time for Valentine’s Day 2014, this charming shawl needs just one 430-yard skein of sock yarn to be knit up! It is worked flat in one piece with bias construction. The pattern earned an overall rating of 4.7 from users. If you prefer to use Ravelry of LoveCrafts for your pattern purchases, here are the links to the pattern on there.
Here are photos of her knitting process. The edge if knit as you go, so once you’re done it just needs to be blocked. Gotta love that.
Nestled in its project bag all cosy.
It’s coming along. You can tell the edge has a motif, but blocking will bring that out and let it shine.
The real yarn color shines here. Loving how it comes together and it is a nice mindless project for watching TV or on your Zoom knitting circle meetup.
Though we all love a nice blocked FO, so here are more photos of it done.
See how that edge blocks out so beautifully?
A closeup. Love the textures.
Here I am gazing off into the middle distance.
What color would you knit yours in?
