Make Your Own Valentine Tic-Tac-Toe Game

My sons and I decided to create a little tic-tac-toe game using three pieces of paper we had handy. It was fun to create and a nice change from usual crafts we’ve been doing because it was so quick we spent more time playing the actual game. Here is how you can do it.

Supplies

Paper – 1 sheet of white paper or card stock (for the game board)
1/2 sheet of each color paper (for the game pieces)
* You can use white printer paper that was already used for drawing, just be sure to draw on both sides and have them be different colors or color themes. If you’re working with white paper to start and want to include drawings in your creation, you’ll also need colourful pencils or crayons.

Pencil – To draw the game grid.

Scissors – Child scissors if you are doing this as a family project.

Ruler – To make the game board grid tidy.

Draw the game board on the white page.

Taking the size of your grid squares into account, draw a heart on a piece of scrap paper. Fold it in half and trim it to be symmetrical. Fold the edge inward of the game pieces paper and hold the cut heart around the folded edge and cut around it.

Continue until you have a set of game pieces in that color. Then repeat with the other paper for the other set of game pieces.
