Knitting the Lisa Hannes’s Festival of Stitches (Mystery-KAL)

My friend Marseille has been knitting up a storm and I absolutely love what she has been making. When I was in the States earlier this year, she let me try everything on and have a little photoshoot. Though these are not the most detailed posts in my blog, they’re such fun to create and I love bragging about my talented friend. This post is about Marseille knitting the Lisa Hannes’s Festival of Stitches (Mystery-KAL).

The Pattern & Process

Marseille chose Lisa Hannes’s Festival of Stitches (Mystery-KAL) pattern for the fun of it.

The Yarn

This combination of rusty brown, patina green, and Aspen forest green/cream is phenomenal for this knitting pattern.

The Result

The result is a shawl with a wide wingspan and ample interest, both visually and texturally. Here are close-ups of the beautiful color shifts, stripes, and textures in Festival of Stitches. This was a difficult one to return to Marseille after I tried it on.
