Gone are the days when a mass-produced chocolate Advent calendar can excite me leading up to Christmas and now I find there is a world of creative versions awaiting our discovery. You can buy or make one focused on beer, Lego, Kiehls skin care, whiskey, makeup, and even stitch markers. So, it seems like a natural fit to have one filled with woolly goodness too! Here are a few Advent Calendars for Knitters that I have noticed and admired online:
Irish Fairytale Yarns has six different options

Hand Dyed 4Ply Merino Sock Yarn Advent Calendar PRE-ORDER, 12 mini skeins or 24 mini skeins + 100g skein from WoollyMamaYarns
12 Days of Christmas, Neon Christmas Theme, 12 Days of Fiber from MishasObsessions
The Yarn Advent Calendar from VickiBrownDesigns
Yarn Advent calendar from GamerCrafting
The Yarn Lab Uk Adevnt Calendar 2017 from TheYarnLabUk
Yarn mini skein Advent Calendar – 24 Signature Merino mini skeins 20g + 24 colorful markers + gift – 6 kinds of fingering yarn from YarntoyouShop
Yarn Advent Calendar – 25 Signature Sock Mini Skeins 20g from aVividYarnStudio
Advent Calendar Kit from Purl Soho
Of course, you can also make your own. I have never done that and not sure I would, but I do it for my son. It went great last year. I bought a 23+ Duplo (Miles from Tomorrow) or Lego kit and separate it out into Advent calendar bags, with the instructions in the middle of the month and a blind bag on the final day to switch it up.
What would be in your ideal Advent calendar?
