Indoor S’mores

It’s only October, why is it still so cold outside? I am retreating from the chill outside and enjoying the comfort of my warm kitchen. If you’d like to join me, pull out your cozy slippers and favorite apron and we’ll make S’mores together!

Nutella makes it easier and has a lower melting point than solid chocolate. It’s also easier to get than Hershey’s chocolate here in Ireland. Summers in France, we kids would be free range all day but when we got hungry, there was a plate of Nutella sandwiches to feast on in the garden. I’m not a fan of hazelnuts, but admit that Nutella has an important role in ready-made chocolate spreads and especially in this recipe.

Indoor S’mores

graham crackers

marshmallow fluff

chocolate spread, such as Nutella

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F.

2. Spread 1 teaspoon of marshmallow fluff on each graham cracker square. Place the marshmallow-covered squares on baking sheet with the marshmallow facing up. Leave more than 1 inch between each square to allow for melting goo.

3. Spread 1 teaspoon of chocolate spread on another graham cracker square and place is on top of the marshmallow cream, sandwiching the two spreads between the two graham cracker squares.

4. Place baking sheet in the oven to heat for 3 minutes or until sandwich middle softens.

Wow. I LOVE s’mores AND Nutella. I don’t know why I never thought of this! Fantastic idea! So happy for you that you tried Nutella! I first had it when I spent a month in Europe dnuirg high school. My friend and I bought a jar in Belgium and took it around with us. It was perfect for an afternoon snack. All we had to do was find a nice fresh roll somewhere and slather on some fantastically delicious Nutella and we were all set for another few hours of sightseeing! Enjoy!! Brandi I’ll be checking out your recipes soon!
